Dear (),

Typhoon Ketsana smashed into the Philippines this weekend, submerging most of Metro Manila and nearby provinces under a torrent of water in just a few short minutes.

Thousands of terrified children and their families were forced to flee their homes with little more than the clothes on their backs. Many crowded into evacuation centres to escape the nearby destruction and mud.

At least 140 people have been killed and over 450,000 have been displaced — and the figures are expected to get worse.

Please donate now. When you give $80, $120, or even $480, you will be helping children and families get the emergency assistance they so urgently need.

Your generous gift will supply children and their families with essentials they currently lack, such as safe drinking water, emergency food supplies and hygiene kits.

At this moment, World Vision is working with local emergency response teams to react where the need is greatest. Our goal is to help 100,000 disaster-affected people.

Thank you for your prompt response and continuing prayers!
