Mais c'est bien sûr!


La première fois que j'ai vu l'Assemblée Législative, je me suis demandé si elle est censée représenter un iglou. C'est bien le genre de truc niais que les gens d'ici aiment faire, pour montrer que nous sommes tellement spéciaux. Mais à la voir en été, comme dans cette photo du 6 juin, j'ai fini par reconnaître ce que c'est: un bloc de granit precambrien. Alors du coup elle me plaît assez, en fin de compte.

No, it's not supposed to be an igloo, but the Chamber is round on purpose to represent consensus government. There are no "sides", although if you were to go inside, you'd see that there are separate seats for Cabinet and regular MLAs, and that they face each other. I wonder if that was the original seating plan. It seems a bit odd now that I think about it.

Now you're ruining it for me all over again! "Consensus government" is possibly the number one most idiotic thing about the Northwest Territories.

Whatever it is on the inside other than a big waste of air, from the outside it looks like a big Precambrian rock, and I like it like that. :-P
